Expanded Role of Technicians in Pharmacy Practice
This learning course will provide pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with options for expanded pharmacy technician roles to allow for increased pharmacist time to complete clinical patient care services. As the paradigm continues to shift from traditional fill and bill pharmacist services to direct patient care, pharmacists have unique opportunities to expand clinical services within a multitude of practice sites. They can’t do so without the help of their pharmacy technician team. During this course, an expert and advocate for expanded pharmacy technician roles will review workflow design, legislation and resources available to support technician role expansion to facilitate expansion of pharmacist clinical services.
